Amsterdam...............nearly

The 2 gentleman in the next cabin, who made no secret that they were from north of the border, retired to bed at 10.33pm, peace. Well it would have been had it not been for the force 6-8 blowing outside and the cabin creaking like we were in an old galleon, and is that rain on the roof?

Safely on terra firma at IJmuiden it was just a 25 mile drive to the aire just outside Amsterdam. Not the prettiest, nor cheapest aire, but it is well worth it for the free ferry to Central Station, nae Centraal Station plus the security, wifi and services. So we set off on the 10 minute walk to the ferry and got pummelled by a hailstorm complete with thunder and lightening! Soaked to the skin we retreated to our home on wheels and spent the afternoon drying out and drinking tea. Tomorrows forecast is better so we WILL make it there!
