We have done just over 1,000 miles since arriving in Sweden, and for all but 50 miles of it we have had a view of half a mile of forest, so it's a real treat when the trees thin out and we get a 'proper' view :-) It has been very much like driving through a desert, if that makes sense? Half a mile to the next hillcrest "Oh, another half mile view of forest to the next bend", around the corner, the same again, and so on and so on! I've thought about getting Rachel to count the trees but it doesn't take that much to make us fall asleep zzzzzzzzz. We were on an A road today and the next roundabout was 60 miles away, so set the cruise control to 50mph (the national speed limit), you get the idea.

As we had done 6 campsites in the last 2 days it was a pleasant change to only do one today, Brian even got chance for a 5 mile jog. Only 5 sites to do now, all North of here so as we are presently on a latitude with Inverness it won't be long before we clear the British Isles. Maybe we should now rename the blog 'In search of the midnight sun'?

A 'proper' view (note Sven keeping watch)
