Life at 68

What an amazing experience it has been to see the sun well above the horizon at midnight, to see the sky getting even brighter at 1am, to not see darkness for a week, to drive along roads at 12.30am without the need for lights. But eventually the very late nights and early mornings take their toll. We arrived at the island's ferry port at 1am this morning and grabbed a few hours sleep before having breakfast at 4am, both in sunshine of course. Caught the 6am ferry back to the mainland with eyes stinging from being open so much! That was life at 68 degrees north, unforgettable!
